2019 Mr. Olympia

Since 1965 the Mr. Olympia Contest has been working to create a bigger and better show each year. With the digital era in full effect they always included an accompanying web cast and the site was due for a upgrade from a performance & aesthetics perspective. Chapman Media was hard at work setting up the broadcast and we worked behind the scenes transforming the site.

The target audience were huge bodybuilding fans  from all over the world and needed a smooth viewing experience. We also needed to make overall navigation and  purchasing tickets for the show as seamless as possible.

Setting up a event like the Mr. Olympia requires all hands on deck,  and is truly a team effort. It is a year round project and it was a privilege to spend a few months with the team of Digital Muscle & Chapman Media to bring it all together.

When it comes to putting on one of the largest broadcasts of the year to millions of fans worldwide, speed is king. We rebuilt the entire site platform, optimizing every detail from image compression to  javascript & HTML delivery for performance cutting load times by over 70%. 

The 2019 Mr. Olympia was proudly sponsored by Wings of Strength,  iHerb & MusclePharm. We worked with these brands to develop banner and advertisement placement  before and during the show.
